Gambian Languages and Education 2018-2021
An academic research project based at King’s College London which focuses on the integration of the languages of The Gambia in its monolingual (English only) education system. Its overarching research question is as follows: What role do Gambian languages play in education in The Gambia?
Multilingual Teaching 2021-2024
A project centred around a one-week workshop with five teachers which took place in The Gambia. Teachers involved in this bespoke workshop received support in developing their own multilingual teaching aids (e.g. multilingual posters) and in leading a one-day train-the-trainer event which took place after the workshop.
